(Formerly the Junior Service League of Woodstock)
Serving Cherokee County Families Since 1990
The Woodstock Juniors are an organization of women committed to improving our community through volunteerism and fundraising. Our purpose is to serve Cherokee County families by making a positive impact on their lives and their futures. Working together we can make a difference.
The Woodstock Junior Woman’s Club was established in 1990 as the Junior Service League of Woodstock. The League reaches out to women of all ages, races, religions, sexual orientations, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism. We are a non-profit organization that strives to improve the lives of Cherokee County residents by making a positive impact on their families and the betterment of their futures. Since our founding, the Woodstock Juniors have been fortunate enough to have hundreds of compassionate women dedicated to serving their community and making Cherokee County a better place to live.
The Woodstock Junior Woman’s Club was voted Volunteer of the Year by Cherokee Life Magazine in 2015. In fact, the category of outstanding volunteer had to be amended to become “an organization” for the very first time to accommodate us, as it has historically gone to an individual.
In April 2016, we were inducted as the newest charter to the Northwest Division of the General Federation of Womens Club Georgia. A ceremony was held at the GFWC Georgia Annual Convention in Callaway Gardens. We are honored to now be a part of this fantastic international organization of incredible women. We are now known as the Woodstock Junior Woman’s Club (or Woodstock Juniors for short) and are able to do all the same great work we have done in the past, but now to an even larger scale!
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Collectively, we are Living the Volunteer Spirit.
