At the GFWC Northwest Regional Conference this Spring, the Woodstock Juniors, in our first year eligible, took home not one, not two, but FOUR first place awards. We are very excited to share with everyone that we received top honors in the categories of Conservation, Membership, Home Life, and also won the Overall Excellence! Member, Heather Sparks, was there as a volunteer to assist in working the event, and we’re so grateful that she was, as she was able to represent us and collect the awards on the behalf of the Woodstock Juniors!
At the GFWC State Conference, held in Atlanta this Spring, the Woodstock Juniors assisted with the hosting duties, lead by our Vice President, Amanda Buczek. On Friday, the first day of the convention, Board Members Amanda Buczek, Claire Frost, Candy Baylor, Kristine Corona, and Andrea Spalding attended the banquet, where they learned about the wonderful works of March of Dimes, and raised money for them through a fun night of bunco. We were thrilled to be there together to represent the Woodstock Juniors where we accepted an award for our work in in the Home Life Community Service Program and won first place in the categories of Membership and Web Maintenance.
While we do not do what we do in order to gain praise and recognition, it’s nice to gather with our sisters from across the state and acknowledge everyone’s hard work and hearts for service. Together, we truly can make a difference.
